Solar Hot Water System Installers Gold Coast Residents Trust Provide Some Facts About This System

Plumbing Company

Solar water heating systems will include storage tanks and solar collectors. Solar hot water system installers Gold Coast residents trust say that there are 2 types of this heating system – active and passive.

Active solar water heating systems have circulating pumps and controls. Under this type, there are also 2 types – direct circulation systems and indirect circulation systems. The difference between these 2 is that the direct circulation systems’ pumps circulate household water through the collectors and into the home while indirect circulation systems’ pumps circulate a non-freezing, heat-transfer fluid through the collectors and a heat exchanger.

Passive solar water heating systems are less expensive than active systems; however they are not as efficient. But then, passive systems can be more reliable and might last longer. And there are 2 basic types of passive systems. First is the integral collectors-storage passive systems which work best in areas where temperatures rarely fall below freezing. Also, they work very well in households with significant daytime and evening hot-water needs. The other one is the thermosyphon systems wherein the water flows through the system when warm water rises as cooler water sinks. The collector must be installed below the storage tank so that the warm water will rise into the tank. These systems are regarded as reliable; however, contractors must be very careful to the roof design since the storage tank is heavy. Also, they are more expensive than integral collector-storage passive systems. More information mentioned here.

Every year, families spend a lot on heating costs. With solar heating options for water systems, there can be huge savings. I wonder how long these solar heating systems last and if the maintenance costs are affordable.

This is a good item for homes. As of now, I use electric hot water systems. But, after reading this article, I'm thinking of replacing my systems at home. However, can you give me some tips on how to choose such hot water systems?

Its a great idea to use solar power. After all its a natural resource that would not cost much as compared to gas heated water systems. Its definitely environment friendly too!
